Noordhoekring

Tiwos is developing 27 sustainable homes on the Noordhoekring in Tilburg, next to the Odulphus Lyceum. The project consists of a wooden apartment building with 22 homes, 5 ground-level homes and a green courtyard. The wooden main-structure with façade and gallery are MDLX’s modular building system. This firm produces and builds the 22 apartments in just 6 weeks. SIDstudio has engineered the main load-bearing structure of both the wooden superstructure and the substructure (ground floor and foundation).

The ambition is to stimulate a new, sustainable building culture with innovative construction methods such as modular timber construction. The facades are made entirely of wood and exude the bio-based character of the design.

With this project, Tiwos wants to contribute to a future-oriented, liveable urban environment.
