A new villa is being built in a free and rural river area in Kamperveen. The villa will be located on the site of an existing house that will be demolished for the construction of the villa.
On the concrete basement a steel structure is placed with hollow core slabs. Two concrete walls, which organize the flow of movement in the villa, provide the horizontal stability. The new villa has a characteristic design with a large cantilevering part
The client did not want diagonal structural elements in the façade of the cantilever as they block the view and opening of windows. A balance had to be found between the structural capacity, a comfortable experience without disturbing vibrations, architecture and costs.
